Candice J. Arnold
Tournament Founder\Director

Candice Arnold has devoted much of her life to the sport of ice hockey.  Having begun playing at the age of 10 she has skated with the Washington Little Caps and Buffalo State College at the NCAA level.  In addition she served as an Assistant Coach at Muhlenberg College for three seasons.  Presently she is committed to growing Hockey Fights MS and the cause.

In the summer of 2005 Candice was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  Rather than accepting defeat she chose to take up the cause, and within weeks the idea for this tournament was born.  The 1st Annual Hockey Fights MS Tournament, held in 2006 was a great success as we raised $4,700, far exceeding our goal of $3,000.  Players representing PA, NJ, NY, MA, and ME came to support the cause.

In 2007 the Tournament grew to include a Men's Division and went on to raise $6,400.  Teams and players came from up and down the East Coast to participate.  In addition the all-hockey band, The Zambonis, put on an entertaining on ice concert.

2008 saw Hockey Fights MS expand to two separate tournaments.  Hockey Fights MS Vermont and  Hockey Fights MS Pennsylvania.  Both events were well attended and we donated nearly $9,000 to MS Research.  This trend continued in 2009 and despite the tough economy the two tournaments resulted in $9,500 being donated to MS Charities and Research.

Hockey Fights MS will again host tournaments in both Vermont and Pennsylvania for 2010.  It's never too early to sign up or volunteer, we couldn't be a success without you!

Proceeds from the Hockey Fights MS Tournament are donated to help fund the search for a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
